MedicareQuotesForYou is an independent licensed insurance agency based in Brighton, Colorado. We write plain-English guides to Medicare, and we help people compare the specific plans available where they live.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or contracted to the United States government or the federal Medicare program.
Who writes these guides
Our guides are written and reviewed by licensed insurance agents. Every guide carries the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed, and when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services publishes new figures for a plan year, we update the affected pages and change the review date.
We would rather leave a number out than guess at it. Where a figure for the coming plan year has not yet been published, we say so on the page instead of estimating.
How we are paid
We do not charge you anything. When someone we help enrolls in a plan, the insurance company pays our agency a commission. Commissions for Medicare Advantage and Part D plans are capped by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and those caps are the same across the carriers we work with, so we have no financial reason to steer you toward one plan over another.
What we do have is a limited shelf. We do not offer every plan available in your area, only those we are appointed to sell. That is a real limitation and you should know about it before you talk to us. If you want to see every option, Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE will show you all of them.
What we will not do
- We will not call you unless you asked us to, in writing, on this site.
- We will not pass your details to a list of other companies. The consent you give names one agency, and that is who calls you.
- We will not use the Medicare name, logo or government styling to make ourselves look official. We are a private agency.
- We will not tell you a plan is free. Your Part B premium and your copays are real costs and we will say so.
